Sturdy footwear (e.g. walking boots), working clothes, including thick trousers, work gloves and a hat. Plus if you have them, please bring safety goggles, a wax jacket, bowsaw, loppers, and billhook

Central England Training offers training in hedgerow management. This training course is designed to provide beginners with the basic knowledge and skills needed to carry out the traditional craft of Hedgelaying.

· Hedgerow Legislation and Classification
· Preparations at the Hedge
· Cutting and Pleaching
· Building the Hedge
· Staking, Binding, crooks, stake and rail
· Trimming and Finishing
· Hedge Aftercare
After completion of 4 days training, candidates, providing they meet the assessment criteria, can go on to complete the Lantra Bronze Accreditation.
Assessments are conducted by an independent assessor
