Harvest is a potentially dangerous time. New, untrained workers, more equipment and limited time schedule raise the number of avoidable accidents occurring during this period. Approximately 50 people a year are killed on Britain’s farms and most of them are between 18 and 25 yrs old.

This course has been specifically designed to cover all aspects of the associated accidents and injuries of harvest time, increasing your awareness of the potential hazards and how to avoid them.

Morning Health & Safety session:

• Causes of Accidents
• Accident Prevention
• Farm Safety

Afternoon session:

After lunch the trainees will walk round the farm so that they can ask any questions relating the machinery and equipment that they are going to use during the coming months.
